Let’s talk about Maggiano, a wonderful Tuscan luxury villa, located in the midst of greenery, and right at the gates of Chianti.
The villa is made of stone and furnished in the typical rustic Tuscan style.
Externally, the presence of the large garden stands out, complete with a swimming pool where you can take baths whenever you wish, sheltered from the scorching summer heat.
Accompanying the outdoor space is a barbecue area that provides a way to arrange meals as you prefer.
Contemplative moments are assured, by means of the view of the valley to which one has access from the villa. The owners live in an adjacent house and are always available to meet the needs expressed by guests, and thus also recommend the best activities to engage in in the area.
The owners, having for themselves a separate entrance, and not sharing the outdoor spaces of the villa, do not in any way alter the privacy of vacationers, coming only to their support at the time of a request.
The amenities of Maggiano
In the Maggiano villa we find many amenities.
Just think of how the five rooms all haveair conditioning, so that even the hottest days are not to be feared.
The large, well-kept garden is fenced off for privacy and security (think, for example, of couples with children).
The above-ground swimming pool reserved for the exclusive use of the occupants is a great way to cool off and enjoy the sun. One always stays connected and up-to-date, via wi-fi.
Parking is, as always, a resource ofuntold usefulness for those arriving by car.
The scenic pergola for outdoor dining, associated with the mobile barbecue and wood-burning oven, is a way to prepare and enjoy what is cooked, outdoors, taking advantage of the view and tranquility of the location.
The functional internals
Maggiano’s interior is ready to accommodate a number of ten guests.
The ground floor of Maggiano has a dining area with a kitchen, and the latter is complete with every appliance.
There is in fact an oven, a freezer, a microwave, an American coffee maker, and a stove with four burners.
Together, all these appliances make Maggiano’s kitchen an environment where functionality is top notch, and suitable for meeting all culinary needs.
Going down two steps, starting from the ground floor, we will find ourselves in the bright living room with access to the outside.
The latter is certainly a highlight of the villa.
With the TV in the living room, one can haveentertainment, especially for those times when one is not busy with tours of the area.
While the access on the outside gives a constant freshness to the vacation. It is unfortunate that the fireplace is not usable, but there is no shortage of alternative solutions, aimed at warming the room in the colder months.
Going down four more steps, we find a bathroom complete with a washing machine.
The presence of a toilet and washing machine on the lower floor of the villa is extremely useful for multiple reasons.
First of all, the presence of an additional toilet avoids the need to go upstairs whenever the need to use the bathroom is felt.
This brings particular convenience with parties being held. But having a washing machine downstairs also means having a dedicated space for laundry, reducing the clutter and chaos that could be caused by placing the washing machine in a different area.
Another aspect to note, how the washing machine in that spot is convenient for anyone who has difficulty going up and down stairs: to benefit will be in efficiency the laundry operations, which will become more accessible.
Finally, the fact that the toilet and washing machine area has no windows does not seem to pose as a major problem, since the main use of the said room is related to the specific functions for which it was specifically designed (going to the bathroom and washing clothes, basically).
And a good ventilation system is also provided, with the aim of obtaining a healthy environment at all times.
The second floor of the villa
The layout of the rooms on the second floor of the Maggiano villa is intended to accommodate six vacationers.
There is the master bedroom with private bathroom, and then the other two rooms with single beds where other guests or other members of the same family can settle.
Two bathrooms are located there, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower.
The arrangement of these rooms on a separate level from the main floor has advantages in terms of privacy and also lack of disturbance.
To highlight, how the bathroom with shower in close proximity to the bedrooms can be very convenient and practical for guests.
None of the rooms, by the way, lack air conditioning.
Tourist possibilities
Staying at Villa Maggiano, you will have the opportunity to visit many historic towns and cities in Tuscany, such as San Gimignano, Castelfiorentino, Florence, Siena and Lucca.
You can enjoy the scenic beauty of the places and educate your palate on the traditional cuisine of the region, rich in flavors and culinary traditions handed down. Mediating the villa’s strategic location, you can with ease explore the Tuscan coast, with the fascinating coastal towns that occupy it.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in wine tastings at wineries scattered across the Chianti region, famous for its fine wines.
Apart from the well-known cities of art, the village of Lucardo, very close to the villa, grants the possibility of establishing different visiting programs.
You could start from the Church of St. John the Baptist, in the center of the village.
It is a medieval church dating back to the 14th century, inside which there are very prestigious frescoes and works of art, and perhaps to be discovered the first time.
Just outside the town, is La Pieve di San Giovanni Battista, another really interesting church to visit, even older (12th century).
Then consider Villa Sonnino, a historic villa just outside the village of Lucardo, surrounded by a beautiful park with lush and creatively landscaped gardens.
Tours of the villa are organized, including guided tours.
